Miss Maia

After participating in various different sports, Maia found her passion for dance at age 9. She began dancing at Heidi Hogan’s School of Dance in Leominster, Massachusetts. She did ballet, contemporary, lyrical, tap, jazz, hip hop, and pointe. When she turned 15, Maia decided to take her training more seriously, which brought her to Spotlight Dance Academy. There was an instant connection between Maia and her teachers and she loved every second of her time at the studio. All of the instructors played a huge role in her growth as a dancer and she was able to win numerous awards at many competitions. When she graduated from Nashoba Regional High School, Maia decided to attend the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a dance major.
Maia continued to grow and nurture her passion for dance at UARTS, but was presented with an opportunity in the spring of her freshman year. After auditioning for So You Think You Can Dance, Maia was flown out to LA by the producers of the show several times to compete against some of the best dancers in the world, and her audition was aired on national television as well.
After her experiences with the show in LA, Maia decided it was time to relocate to California and pursue a dance training program led by Shannon Mather at Mather Dance Company. She trained intensively at MDC for a year, filmed concept videos, performed on stage, assisted Shannon’s zoom classes, and by the end of the year, she signed with Go2Talent Agency and moved into LA to further pursue her dance career. She is also a member of Jaci Royal’s contemporary dance company, Flux II. Maia also became a Certified Personal Trainer and coaches at F45 in LA. Maia loves sharing her passion for dance and fitness with others!
